NJ Political Operative Admits Paying Two Men, Including One From CT, To Kill Associate
A New Jersey-based political consultant admitted that he hired two hitmen, including one from Connecticut, to kill a longtime associate who had worked for him on various election campaigns, federal authorities said.
Sean Caddle, 44, a former aide to former New Jersey State Sen. Ray Lesniak (D-Elizabeth) paid the killers -- with the other from Pennsylvania -- to get rid of Michael Galdieri, the son of former State Sen. James Galdieri (D-Jersey City) and a prominent figure in local Hudson County politics.

Norwalk is the latest community to adopt a ban on plastic bags.
Effective July 8, the new city ordinance prohibits the use of plastic carryout bags and sets a 10-cent charge for paper carryout bags.
The ordinance applies to any person, business or nonprofit entity that sells or provides merchandise, goods, food and beverages, or materials in the City of Norwalk.
To remind residents that the ban is not just for groceries, the city hired TFI Envision as part of an advertising campaign to promote the new law.

A Congressional candidate in the Hudson Valley received an endorsement from former President Barack Obama on Wednesday.
Rhinebeck resident Anthony Delgado, a Schenectady native challenging first-term Republican John Faso in the 19th District in November’s midterm elections, was among 81 Democrats who received the former Commander-in-Chief’s vote of approval this week.
The 19th district - where Delgado is running - includes parts of Dutchess, Ulster, Greene, Columbia, Sullivan, Delaware, Schoharie, Otsego, Rensselaer, Montgomery and Broome counties.
