Healey Says Residents Should Prepare Emergency Kits The National Weather Service said the winter storm expected to batter much of the Northeast on Tuesday, Feb. 13, has taken a "southward shift," which could mean less snow for Massachusetts. Man's Body Pulled From Charles River In Boston Police dive teams pulled a man's body from the Charles River in Boston on Monday afternoon, Feb. 12, authorities announced. Witnesses said they saw a man struggling to keep his head above water around 11:30 a.m. near the Longfellow Bridge. But no one was able to save him. Teen Gunned Down in Worcester A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in the early morning of Monday, Feb. 12, in Worcester, authorities said. Police were called to the area of Shannon Street just after 3:15 a.m. for a ShotSpotter alert, but officers didn't locate a victim. They did find evidence of gunshots, Worcester police said. 'Fly High In Heaven': Western Mass Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Chicopee Shooting A 34-year-old man has died of his injuries from a weekend shooting in Hampden County, a report said. Marquis Newson, of Chicopee, was shot on Saturday, Feb. 3, in a parking lot on Springfield Street in Chicopee, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.
