Woman Admits To Killing Owner Of Eastern Mass Greenhouse, Leading To Its Closure: DA A 71-year-old woman pleaded guilty Tuesday, Aug. 15, to driving into and killing one of the family members who owned the Byfield Greenhouse and Garden Center last year, authorities said. Man Behind Murder-Suicide, Shooting 2 Kids In Springfield Home ID'd By Police Police have identified the man they say killed a grandmother and shot two of her grandchildren in a Springfield home Monday, Aug. 14, before he turned the gun on himself. Central Mass Man Charged With Murder When Victim Dies Weeks After Attack: DA A 36-year-old Worcester County man was charged Tuesday, Aug. 15, with the fatal stabbing of 45-year-old Jesus Maisonet Davila earlier this year, authorities said. Central Mass Man Nearly Killed In Worcester Motorcycle Wreck A 24-year-old Worcester County man was nearly killed last week after he crashed his motorcycle in Worcetser, authorities said. The 24-year-old Millbury man wrecked on Blithewood Avenue near Oakwood Lane just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, Worcester police. Investigators believe he lost control of the bike, hit the curb, and then careened into two poles. A nurse happened to be nearby and gave him life-saving help until paramedics arrived.
