Salem Man Murdered Missing Woman; Police Searching For Her Body: DA A 33-year-old Salem man is expected to be arraigned Tuesday morning, Aug. 8, in a woman's disappearance and killing, authorities said. Her body is still missing. Pablo Vicente is accused of killing the woman, the Essex County District Attorney said. Salem police received a tip that Vicente had harmed her and opened an investigation. They discovered evidence of foul play and arrested Vicente. Police were searching for her body Tuesday morning. The DA's office is not releasing the woman's name until they speak with her family. Boston Man Paid For Girl's Birthday Party After Family Member Made Porn Of Her: Feds A 39-year-old Boston man has admitted to a laundry list of disturbing allegations featuring children as young as 9 and 14 years old, federal authorities said. The most heinous of which is he told a teenager that he would help pay for a little girl's birthday party if they produced pornographic material featuring the child. Kayaker Finds Body On Riverbank Near Western Mass Bridge: Firefighters Holyoke firefighters and police were called to Muller Bridge Sunday morning after a kayaker body on the bank of a river. Crews responded just before noon to Long Pond Road after receiving reports of the corpse washed up on the bank, the Holyoke Fire Department said. Police closed a section of the road for several hours as they investigated and cleared the scene. Police are investigating the cause of death. Detectives have not released the identification of the body or any information on how they could have ended up in the water.

Man Stabbed At Chicopee Gas Station Dies At Hospital: Police A man stabbed at a Chicopee gas station Sunday afternoon, Aug. 6, has died, Chicopee police said. The attack happened at the Shell station at 95 West St. around 3 p.m., police said. Paramedics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he died of his wounds. Investigators did not release the man's name. Chicopee police detectives closed the gas station for several hours Sunday night while they investigated the scene. Man Shot, Killed On Western Mass Street; Police Ask For Information A man who was shot over the weekend in Springfield has died of his wound, authorities announced. Now, police are asking for the public's help to find who pulled the trigger. Officers responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Hancock and Union Streets around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6. Police found a man bleeding out from a bullet wound on Hancock Street. Worcester Bar Closes Its Doors But Promises To Return Bigger, Better Jack's Tiki Tavern, which was forced to move earlier this year, has closed its doors in Worcester for good, owners announced on Facebook.
