Drugs, Gun Arrest In Chelsea As Police Increase Patrols In One Neighborhood Chelsea police have increased their presence around Congress, Shawmut, and Maverick streets as officers have noticed an uptick in drug crimes there. Investigators arrested a 37-year-old man on drug and gun charges over the weekend. Ramon Valdez was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 6, after police spotted him making "illegal transactions" around 9 p.m., Chelsea police said. When officers went to handcuff him, Valdez fought back. Woman Busted With Fentanyl, Crack As Chelsea Police Boost Drug Operations Chelsea police officials said they noticed a recent increase in drug activity in a neighborhood, so they upped their patrols there. Authorities say that strategy is paying dividends after officers arrested a woman last week with fentanyl and crack. Erica Muniz Rivera, 31, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 4, after a traffic stop, Chelsea police said. Man Tricked, Abused Women To Work As Prostitutes Throughout Northeast: Feds A Rhode Island man who pleaded guilty to coercing multiple women to work as prostitutes and using violence to keep them in line will spend 18 years in prison, federal authorities said. Ronald Hall, 48, of Woonsocket, admitted in August to the near decade-long operation and pleaded guilty to four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and one count of transportation of an individual to engage in prostitution, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. In addition to the 18 years behind bars, Hall must also pay restitution to his victims. A judge will set that amount later.…

Malden Man Guilty Of Stabbing Death Outside Of Boston Medical Center: DA A jury convicted a 28-year-old Malden man of stabbing a 32-year-old to death after an argument outside of Boston Medical Center in 2019 Gerald Bowens was found guilty of manslaughter in the killing of Timothy Walton at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. 3 Worcester Officers Hurt Trying To Capture Man Who Peed On Ex-Employer's Office: Cops Three Worcester police officers were hurt after a 68-year-old man rammed a patrol cruiser after they tried to arrest him for allegedly urinating on the building where he used to work, authorities said. Teenager Raped, Woman Sexually Assaulted At Riverwalk In Waltham, Suspect At Large: Police Massachusetts State Police said they upped their presence at the Charles River Reservation after two women said a man attacked them at Riverwalk in Waltham. Police Searching For Man Who Broke Into Boston Home, Sexually Assaulted Woman Boston police are asking for the public's help to find the man they say broke into a home in Jamaica Plain and sexually assaulted a woman inside, authorities said. Investigators said the man broke into the home on Arborway around noon on Monday, Oct. 24. Police described him as being in his mid-40s, 6 feet tall, and he wore dark-colored clothing and glasses. Great Barrington Man Received Child Porn, Featuring Kids Under 12, Feds Say A grand jury this week indicted a 54-year-old Great Barrington on charges of allegedly receiving child porn featuring children younger than 12, authorities said. James J. Keough is charged with one count of receipt of child porn and one count of possession of the offending material after police arrested him earlier this month, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Boston Man Wanted For Indecent Assault Done In By Poster: Transit Cops A 35-year-old Boston man wanted for indecent assault was caught thanks to a wanted poster created from information from two teenage girls, authorities said. Edgar Alonzo, 35, of Dorchester was arrested this week on assault charges that allegedly happened outside of Broadway Station earlier this month, transit police said.
