Wreck Forces Police To Close Portion Of Interstate 66 In Fairfax County Authorities in Fairfax County have closed a portion of Interstate 66 on Wednesday morning, June 1, as they clean up a wreck. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue department tweeted that they were on the scene of a two-car crash on the eastbound lanes of I-66 just before Nutley Street in Fairfax. There were no injuries reported, but the wreck scattered debris across the highway that responders must remove before traffic can resume. Repeat DUI Offender To Blame In Serious Woodbridge Wreck: Police Sheriff's deputies say a 68-year-old repeat DUI offender was intoxicated when he caused a wreck that sent three people to the hospital over the weekend. Frank Fletcher Jr. of Woodbridge was driving south on Onville Road on Saturday night, May 28, when his car crossed the center line and collided with an on-coming Dodge Challenger at 9:45 p.m., the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. Stafford Firefighters Rescue First-Time ATV Driver Who Crashed Into Ravine: Police A 39-year-old man's first ATV ride was about to end tragically until emergency crews saved his life earlier this week, authorities said. Wilber Rodriguez, of Woodbridge, decided to take the vehicle out for a spin along Brafferton Boulevard when he lost control and crashed into a ravine on Monday, May 30, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. Woodbridge High School Investigating Hate Symbol Left in Bathroom A northern Virginia high school principal sent a letter to parents last week after someone drew swastikas and other derogatory messages and images in a bathroom stall. Officials at C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge called the school resource officer after someone noticed the Nazi iconography in a boy's bathroom on May 24. Administrators at Freedom High School in Woodbridge called the student resource officer on May 18 after they found the weapon in the student's possession, Prince William County police said.
