Tractor-Trailer Fuel Spill Prompts Cleanup On I-684 In Westchester
A tractor-trailer spilled fuel after hitting debris on Interstate 684 in Westchester County, prompting an environmental response. The incident happened on I-684 in Bedford on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at around 12:30 p.m., according to New York State Police. A 2021 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was traveling on the interstate when it struck debris in the roadway, damaging the truck's fuel tank and causing fuel to spill, police said. The Department of Environmental Protection responded to address the spill. No injuries or citations were reported.
