Scarsdale High School Debate Tournament Draws Hundreds of Students
SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale High School’s annual Invitational Debate Tournament drew hundreds of students from states as far away as Florida, according to a report in Scarsdale10583.com.
The tournament was held on Nov. 13 and 14.
Made possible by the efforts of the Scarsdale Speech and Debate Team, parent volunteers, and coach Joe Vaughan, the contest had 300 participants who came from 30 high school in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida, the news outlet reported.

Red Hook Library Takes Back 'Black Friday'
RED HOOK, N.Y. -- The Red Hook Public Library is taking back “Black Friday” by offering patrons a chance to escape the shopping madness.
On Friday, Nov. 27, from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m., folks can sit back, relax, and make homemade gifts in a fall crafts workshop featuring natural materials like pine cones and acorns, the library said.
The workshop is free.
The library is located at 7444 S. Broadway, Red Hook.

After Thanksgiving, Hit The Floor At Fort Lee Club For A Ladies' Night Out
FORT LEE, N.J. – Fort Lee’s Soho Nightclub is offering a way to work off some of that turkey, mashed potato, and pumpkin pie from your Thanksgiving feast.
On Friday, the club is hosting a black dress affair and ladies’ night out with dancing and drink specials.
The venue, which has three floors and four disc jockeys, opens its doors at 9 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge, but women are allowed into the club free until 11 p.m.
The club is at 2027 Lemoine Ave., Fort Lee.
