A 66-year-old New Jersey man accidentally shot himself in the thigh after a spent shell casing fell inside his shirt at a shooting range, authorities said. Silvano Cruz, of Carteret, was injured at RTSP Shooting Range at 2438 Route 22 on Saturday, Oct. 10, Township of Union Deputy Police Chief Barry Cohen said. Officers responding to a medical aid call found Cruz suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh, Cohen said.
