Car Crashes 30 Feet Down Ditch, Lands On Roof In Millbrook Fire crews worked to free a driver after a car rolled down an embankment and landed on its roof in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened on Wednesday, Jan. 22 just before noon in Dutchess County, when a vehicle rolled around 30 feet down an embankment in Millbrook, according to the village's fire department. Responding firefighters were able to get the driver out, who miraculously was unharmed.  They were then taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Stretch Of Road Near School In Cortlandt Closed After Water Main Break A stretch of road near a middle school in Northern Westchester is closed to traffic thanks to a water main break.  Watch Hill Road from Furnace Dock Road to Furnace Woods Road in the town of Cortlandt is closed as crews repair the break, Cortlandt officials announced on Friday, Jan. 24 just before 8 a.m.  The area is near Blue Mountain Middle School. Blaze Destroys Vehicle In I-84 In Kent A fire completely consumed a vehicle on Interstate 84 in the Hudson Valley.  The blaze happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at around 2:15 p.m., when a vehicle caught on fire on I-84 in Kent, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Fire crews rushed to the scene and were able to put the flames out.  No injuries were reported and the incident was safely brought under control, firefighters said.  "Remember to keep an eye on your vehicle’s condition to help prevent incidents like this," the department said in a social media post on Thursday, Jan. 23.
