Hero Hazlet Officer Rescues Dog From Icy Lake (Video) Taffy the dog is lucky Hazlet has Patrolman Doug Centrone on the force. On Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9:50 a.m., officers received a frantic call about a dog, Taffy, stuck in the lake at Veteran's Park, Hazlet Township police said. 48 People Face Animal Cruelty Charges In South Jersey Cockfighting Ring: Prosecutor A cockfighting ring in Galloway Township led to 48 people facing charges of animal cruelty on Wednesday, Feb. 26, authorities said.
