Atlantic City Man Dies After November Double Shooting: Prosecutor A 19-year-old Atlantic City man has died from a gunshot wound he sustained in November, authorities said. Jaiden Perez succumbed to his injuries from a Saturday, Nov. 16 shooting on Saturday, Dec. 14, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Man Pleads Guilty In Toms River Drive-By Shooting: Prosecutor A 20-year-old Toms River man pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to shooting another man in the leg last June, authorities said. On Wednesday, June 12 at 11:30 p.m., Toms River police responded to a residence on Adams Avenue and found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Morris County Corrections Officer Drove Drunk In Two-Car Crash: Authorities A Morris County corrections officer found himself on the other side of the law. Justin Jasiecki, 24, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a two-car crash in Denville on Friday, Jan. 17, Denville police said. Woman Found Dead In Retention Basin: Neptune PD A woman was found dead, lying in the snow in Neptune on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 20, authorities said. Officers responded to 230 Jumping Brook Rd. at 1:07 p.m. and found a dead woman, wearing only a shirt and shorts, lying in the snow in a retention basin, Neptune Township police said.. Cape May Teacher Allegedly Impregnated By 13-Year-Old Former Student Released From Jail: Report Laura Caron, a 34-year-old teacher, charged with sexually assaulting a former student from when he was 11 years old, was ordered released from jail on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 6abc reports. Man Admits To Fatal Atlantic City Shooting: Prosecutor A 35-year-old Egg Harbor man pleaded guilty on Friday, Jan. 17, to fatally shooting a man in Atlantic City in March 2023, authorities said.
