Fuel Spills Draws Hazmat Team Response On Thruway Near Mario Cuomo Bridge A hazardous materials team responded to the NYS Thruway near the Mario Cuomo Bridge in Rockland County on Friday morning for a fuel spill. The incident happened a little before 10 a.m. on I-87 in Nyack near the Mario Cuomo Bridge.  According to New York State Police, a tractor-trailer had a minor fuel leak on the right shoulder of the roadway.  A Hazmat team responded to help clean it up. There were no injuries or traffic delays, police said.  A tow truck is on the scene to remove the truck.
