An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Bob Odenkirk Northvale Book Signing Canceled A planned book signing in North Jersey featuring Bob Odenkirk and his daughter, Erin, has been canceled due to an illness. The "Better Call Saul" star was set to sign copies of "Zilot & And Other Important Rhymes", a book of poems he wrote with his two children when they were younger. Erin, a graduate of Pratt Institute, did the illustrations for the book. The Odenkirks previously held a book signing at the same venue last year.

6-Year-Old Struck By Vehicle Outside Newark Hospital: Police A six-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle outside a hospital in Newark on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 12, authorities said. At 7:17 p.m., police responded to Beth Israel Medical Center at Lyons Avenue and Maple Avenue after the girl was struck while crossing the street with her family outside the hospital, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The child is in stable condition, Miranda said. The driver remained at the scene and the incident is under investigation, Miranda said.
