Tragedy In High Bridge: Crossing Guard Killed Remembered For Life Of Service Robert "Bob" Bork, a 79-year-old High Bridge crossing guard struck and killed by a car last week is being remembered for his dedication to helping others. Bork was hit by a southbound vehicle on County Road 513 at the intersection of Larrison Avenue last Wednesday, Nov. 28, according to the High Bridge Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. Truck Overturns On Route 278 A truck has overturned on Route 278 in Union County on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 2, authorities said. The tractor trailer overturned on Route 278 westbound near Exit 1 in Linden, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The crash occurred around 1 p.m., authorities said. Robert Creter, a 60-year-old Winnipeg, Manitoba resident was charged with the murder of Tamara "Tammy" Tignor, 23, of Newark, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald said Monday, Dec. 2. Dover Police Officer Charged With Child Porn Possession: Prosecutor A Dover police officer was recently arrested and charged with possessing child pornography, authorities said. Anthony Kelly, a Ledgewood resident was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, distributing child sexual abuse material and endangering the welfare of a child, possessing child sexual abuse material, a spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Dover Police Chief Jonathan Delaney did not respond to an e-mail request for comment.

Man Shot In East Orange On Thanksgiving: Authorities A 21-year-old man was shot in East Orange on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, authorities said. Harrison Man Convicted Of Robbery At Gunpoint, Kidnapping: Prosecutor A 31-year-old Harrison man faces a maximum of 40 years in prison after he was convicted on Friday, Nov. 22 of robbing a person at gunpoint in 2022. Newark Man Convicted Of Gun Possession: Essex County Prosecutor A 39-year-old Newark man was convicted on Friday, Nov. 22 of gun possession following a two-day trial, authorities said.
