Child Struck By Car In Pemberton: Police A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Pemberton on the morning of Friday, Feb. 7, authorities said. At 7:28 a.m., officers responded to Rancocas Lane and Weymouth Road for a crash involving a pedestrian, Pemberton police said. The juvenile was struck when the vehicle was attempting to make a left turn on Rancocas Lane, police said. The juvenile sustained an injury to her leg and was transported to Cooper University Medical Center for further treatment, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

9-Year-Old Boy Killed In Shooting Identified: 'Our Family Is Shattered' Yasin Morrison was just 9-years-old when he was killed after being struck by a stray bullet in Newark on Friday, Jan. 31, authorities said. Manning, who lives in Summit, was denied entry to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. No Charges For Driver In Deadly Route 37 Pedestrian Crash: Toms River Police A 56-year-old Ocean County Man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 37 on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 4., authorities said. At 9:02 p.m., a 2021 Honda Civic driven by a Barnegat man was traveling westbound on Route 37, when it hit Jason Matthews, an Island Heights resident, as he was crossing the roadway, Toms River police said. Newark Employee Pronounced Dead At City Hall: Police An employee was pronounced dead at Newark City Hall on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 6, authorities said. At 8:28 a.m., police responded to Newark City Hall and found an unresponsive man, a city worker, inside the building, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.
