Vehicle Overturns On Garden State Parkway: Njdot A crash caused a vehicle to overturn on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. The crash occurred on the Garden State Parkway southbound north of Exit 91B in Brick Township, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The right shoulder is blocked, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.

17-Year-Old Charged In Fatal Jersey City Shooting: Prosecutor A 17-year-old has been charged with fatally shooting a 20-year-old in Jersey City on Friday, Jan. 3, authorities said. At 8:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Lembeck Avenue and Old Bergen Road on reports of gunfire, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Officers found Rahmiere Morris, 20, with a gunshot wound to his torso, Suarez said. Woman Bitten By Rabid Raccoon: Hunterdon County Health Department A woman was bitten by a raccoon in Hunterdon County on Thursday, Jan. 2 that later tested positive for rabies, authorities said. The woman was bitten at a residence on Penwell Road in Lebanon Township as she attempted to leave, Lebanon Township said. The woman drove herself to an area hospital for treatment, police said. Man Shot In Trenton: Police A man sustained a gunshot wound in Trenton on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 5, authorities said. At 9:33 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 100 block of Bayard Street and found numerous shell casings in the vicinity of Hudson Street and Ditmar Alley, Trenton police said. Newark Man Arrested For Liquor Store Break-In: Franklin Borough Police A 36-year-old Newark man was recently arrested for breaking into a Sussex County liquor store and taking alcohol, police said. Angel Soler used a tool to break the glass sliding door of Right Bottle at Sterling Plaza, Franklin Borough police said. Soler gained entry to the cash register, removed bottles of alcohol and a tablet belong to the store, police said. Soler was charged burglary, theft of movable property, and criminal mischief, police said. He was also arrested by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office on unrelated charges, police said.

Woman, Two Dogs Rescued After Being Submerged In Water: Gloucester PD A woman and her two dogs were rescued after they became trapped in partially frozen water in Camden County on Sunday, Jan. 5, authorities said. Matawan Man Sentenced For Hidden Bathroom Recordings, Distributing Child Porn: Prosecutor A 59-year-old Matawan man was sentenced to nine years in state prison on Friday, Jan. 3, for recording women, including a 16-year-old girl using the bathroom at a residence in Brick Township, authorities said. Michael Mattina secretly recorded six female victims, including one 16 year-old victim, utilizing a hidden camera located in the bathroom of a residence in Brick Township.
